We are currently experiencing Cyclone Jasper the category 2 storm system which is beginning to make landfall as of this morning Wednesday the 13th of December.

This video was filmed in the area south of Cairns not far from the coast where we are being faced with wild wind gusts and heavy rainfall.

This has caused several trees to fall so far, with minor debris flying through the air. Infrastructure and housing is in the path of totality amongst the bigger trees which are getting heavy impacts from the wind gusts.

The wind gusts and rain have been picking up in speed and intensity for the last few hours causing an alarming number of trees to sway dangerously towards our house.

This video is filmed on our property where we also run a tropical plant nursery, which endangers not only our livelihood and income but our home as well.

Flooding is expected with the amount of rainfall we are facing and a big clean up after the winds settle down once the cyclone downgrades from a Category 2 and travels further inland
