The government of the Gaza Strip, controlled by Hamas, raised to more than 18,600 dead and 50,500 wounded the balance of victims due to the offensive launched by the Israeli Army after the attacks perpetrated on October 7 by the Islamist group against Israel.

The spokesman for the Gazan Health Ministry, Ashraf al-Qidra, detailed that 18,608 "martyrs" and 50,594 wounded have been confirmed so far, before adding that during the last 24 hours 196 dead and 499 wounded have arrived at hospitals in the Strip. "A large number of victims are still under the rubble or lying in the streets," he said, warning that the toll could be even higher.
