Footage shows patients crowding the Kuwait Speciality Hospital in Rafah as the health system in Gaza faces collapse.

Speaking in the video, a doctor at the tiny hospital in the city bordering Egypt said healthcare workers were struggling to cater to patients as resources were running out.

He said: 'Here in south Gaza, which is Rafah, we have three hospitals. The Kuwaiti Hospital is a small specialised hospital, and we have no more beds for admission. As you know, most of the people in Gaza are displaced here in Rafah. More than a million and a half are displaced here.

'Overcrowding of people in shelters leads to the spread of infectious diseases that we cannot handle or control.'

The doctor said that medical vehicles were running out of fuel to transport patients in urgent need of medical care.

He added: 'In the next weeks, or in the next days, we might have to stop our services.'

Rafah sits at the border between southern Gaza and Egypt.

The United Nations said 'almost half of Gaza's population' is now crammed into the city hoping to escape bombardment by Jewish settlers.

Israel has declared war and besieged the Gaza Strip in retaliation for an attack by the Palestinian ruling party Hamas at a music festival on October 7.

Gaza health authorities claim that as of December 14, at least 18,787 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza since the long-running religious and territorial conflict flared up.

Israel has been accused of genocide and using the attacks to ethnically cleanse the region and expand the Jewish state into Gaza and other Palestinian territories in the West Bank.
