The European Union reached an agreement on the migration and asylum pact on Wednesday. The aim of the pact is to be able to manage in a predictable and orderly manner the flows of migrants arriving on its territory, in the midst of a crisis that is spreading to different regions in the world.
Through its X account, formerly known as Twitter, the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU said: "The Council and the Parliament achieve a breakthrough in the reform to improve the EU's migration and asylum system. Political agreement has been reached on the five dossiers of the new EU pact on migration and asylum".
