The video shows a high-floor building turning into a light show when a fireworks rocket hit a family's closed window and exploded.

Smartphone footage recorded in a neighborhood in the city of Taiyuan in landlocked Shanxi, China, showed the stray rocket heading toward the building on January 13.

Just seconds later the off-course rocket can be seen heading straight straight for a family's apartment, which thankfully had the windows closed.

It then suddenly burst into flames as stunned spectators watched. Chinese media reported that nobody was injured during the incident.

The woman who captured the incident said the culprits had already launched two towards the sky, and the third one may have been inserted incorrectly, adding: 'It was like it exploded right in front of me, and it startled me too.'
