SOUNDBITE (English): DAVID LOPEZ, Consultant from the International Association for Human Rights and Social Development
"In the Western countries, unfortunately, the people don't take the time to understand the culture and the trajectory of a country like China.
I visited China my first time the last year in April 2023, and I was in Beijing, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Yiwu, Shenyang, and I was really impressed by the development of the country. The people are really warm.
And by this way, we can feel the warmth of the people, the warmth that the Chinese people when they see somebody that comes from another country, they receive you like a Chinese more. This is something that was for me very very good.
You mentioned how many people are out of poverty in China. This is something admirable. We have to learn from China."
