A low-pressure system passed along Japan's southern coast on Monday, February 5, bringing heavy snow, causing power outages and travel disruptions in the Greater Tokyo area. Hundreds of flights were canceled, some expressways were closed to traffic, and some railway services were suspended.

This video was taken from inside a Tama Monorail train car after the trip halted between Tama Dobutsuen and Chuo-Daigaku Meisei-Daigaku stations. The train driver announced that an emergency stop was activated and a safety check was being carried out. According to a press release by the train company, trains were brought to an emergency stop and power suspension was transmitted at around 22:30 after a worker fell on the tracks when the train he was applying anti-freeze agent onto at Kami-Kitadai station started departing.
