Pampered pet cats competed in a beauty pageant for an annual fair in Thailand.

Dozens of well-groomed felines in adorable hats, bowties, and shirts were paraded in front of judges at the Phang Nga Red Cross Fair on February 2.

The pageant was organised by Phang Nga livestock and agriculture officials, and was divided into Thai breed and foreign breed categories.

Audiences were also able to vote for 'Most Popular Cat' by buying flowers.

The cat named Saendee bagged first prize for the Thai breed category, followed by Norah in second, and Thung Thong and Ligor sharing third place.

While for the mixed and foreign breed category, the American Shorthair named Asher bested the other contestants. The second place was awarded to the British Shorthair, Delta, while the third place and the title of the 'Most Popular' went to the Scottish Fold named Aishi.

The winners were each given 3,000, 2,000, and 1,000 THB for the first, second, and third prize respectively, while all participants were given cat food from sponsors.

The proceeds of the event will be donated to the Red Cross office in Phang Nga province.
