In a daring operation, IDF troops from the Yahalom unit have successfully destroyed another tunnel used by senior Hamas officials in the Gaza Strip. The troops, working in close-quarters combat, managed to eliminate Hamas operatives and disrupt the underground network of the organization.

The tunnel, located in the Khan Yunis area, was a strategic route used by high-ranking Hamas members for communication and combat operations. The troops encountered barricades set up by the operatives to block their entry, but managed to break through and neutralize the threat.

Millions of shekels were invested in the construction of the tunnel, which stretched over a kilometer and included sleeping quarters and infrastructure for electricity and water. This underground network was a key part of Hamas' operations in the region.

The successful operation by the Yahalom unit is just one example of the IDF's ongoing efforts to combat threats in the Gaza Strip.
