Rally for Israel and hostage release precedes UN Security Council meeting
On March 11, 2024, a rally in support of Israel and the release of hostages took place outside the UN Headquarters in New York. The Security Council convened to discuss a report by Pramila Patten, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Sexual Violence. The report focused on the terrorist attack by Hamas on Israel on October 7, 2023, and Israel's subsequent military response.
During the rally, activists held flags representing various countries, highlighting the global impact of sexual violence during conflicts.
