A zoogoer formed an incredible bond with a playful chimpanzee at Belgrade Zoo by chasing the primate around the enclosure glass.

Alex filmed as the playful chimp paced back and forth wiggling its fingers through the bars as if goad them into chasing it.

"This chimp, who we named Gosha for some reason, didn't seem interested at first, but then as my wife kept interacting with him, he suddenly responded with this index finger gesture showing here to go to the opposite end of his cage. And she did so," said Alex.

As soon as Varvara, Alex's wife, got close to where the chimp was standing it would quickly stroll to the other side of the enclosure and perform the finger wiggle again.

"When they swapped places, he asked for the same thing again, and believe it or not, it lasted for about 30 minutes. The chimp was really enjoying it, and it looked like he really understood what was going on. It was very impressive, and my wife even cried when we had to leave. She promised to be back and play with him again," the filmer added.

"My wife Varvara loves animals and she's always willing to spend hours with them. And of course, we understand that poor animals have no fun life in this captivity, but Varvara is ready to give them moments of joy as much as possible."
