Unruly tourist climbs tree for cherry blossom selfie
An unruly tourist was spotted climbing a tree for a cherry blossom picture in China.
The pensioner was spotted going to extra length for the perfect social media shot by clambering over a red tape barrier and then scampering up the tree in Chongqing on March 8.
Footage shows the elderly person posing between the branches while her friends took a picture from the top of the hill.
A Thai tourist expressed concern for the safety of the elderly person.
She said: 'The tree is on the cliff, so she might have easily fallen down. The barriers are there for people's safety.'
The filmer said the daredevil tourist did not get into an accident and managed to scramble back up the hillside, delighted with her picturesque snap.
Cherry blossom trees bloom every spring, making them a popular attraction in Japan and neighbouring China.
