Pontoon bridge collapse in Kuzbass: no injuries reported, investigation underway
On April 10, 2024, in Kuzbass, Russia, a pontoon bridge spanning the Tom River in the Mezhdurechensky urban district was swept away by floodwaters, carrying three individuals along its path. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as people were promptly evacuated from the detached bridge. The West Siberian Transport Prosecutor’s Office and regional Investigative Committee are currently investigating the incident to determine the causes and circumstances surrounding the collapse.
