German Chancellor Olaf Scholz arrives in China for official visit

Storyline:
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Sunday arrived in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, the start of his three-day visit to China which runs through Tuesday.
This is Scholz's second visit to China since taking office.
Scholz is leading a business delegation. After visiting Chongqing, they will head to Shanghai on Monday.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry said Scholz will meet President Xi Jinping, and also hold talks with Premier Li Qiang on bilateral relations and issues of common concern.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of China-Germany comprehensive strategic partnership.
Data shows that China has remained Germany's largest global trading partner for eight consecutive years. Additionally, last year, Germany's direct investment in China increased by 4.3 percent compared with that of the previous year, reaching a historical high of 11.9 billion euros.
The ministry also said China views Scholz's visit as an opportunity to enhance understanding and trust, deepen pragmatic cooperation, and seek common ground while resolving differences.
