After more than two years of renovation, the ancient Divine Granary at the Altar of the God of Agriculture opened to the public on Thursday in Beijing.
An exhibition that explains the historical changes and cultural connotations of the Divine Granary Complex kicked off to bring time-honored architecture closer to the public.
Sitting near the Beijing Central Axis, the Altar of the God of Agriculture bears the ceremonial and ritual traditions for the state to worship the God of Agriculture.
First built in 1531 and moved here in 1753, the Divine Granary was a key architectural complex for grain storage.
