Argentina: Boca celebrate after beating River in the Argentinian League Cup superclasico

Boca Juniors faced River Plate at the Mario Alberto Kempes Stadium in the city of Cordoba for the Argentine League Cup. Boca Juniors defeated River Plate 3-2 to qualify for the semi-finals of the Argentine Professional League Cup, where they will face Estudiantes de La Plata. With two goals from Uruguay's Miguel Angel Merentiel and one from Edinson Cavani, the Xeneize won the super clasico.
Diego Martinez's Boca beat Martin Demichelis' River in a match that had more controversy than usual. Above all, the sequence in which Cristian Lema almost scored an own goal for what would have been a 2-1 win for El Millonario. Judge Yael Falcon Perez had awarded the goal, but the VAR corrected. From then on, everything changed.
