Scary footage has emerged of planes landing in strong crosswinds at London Stansted airport during Storm Jake on Wednesday.

The video, shot by a plane-spotter, shows the planes pitching at extreme angles in an attempt to land amid the powerful winds.

"The video highlights excellent piloting skills, safety and training of air crews in difficult flying conditions," the filmer wrote online.
