Gaza: Rafah residents confront heightened peril amidst Israel's planned attacks
Rafah City, Gaza Strip - April 29, 2024
Storyline:
Many people in Rafah have to continue living their adrift and tumultuous lives there, while the Israeli Prime Minister has vowed to launch a ground attack on Rafah regardless of the outcome of negotiations.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged on Tuesday to launch a ground attack on Rafah "with or without" a deal with Hamas. However, many people have nowhere to go.
In a temporary camp built by displaced people in Rafah, many Gazans have already begun packing their belongings and fresh water, preparing to leave.
People were waiting in the street for a vehicle or a carriage to take them away from the place where they might again be exposed to a large-scale attack by the Israeli army.
Karim Aziz and his family have been living in the temporary camp for nearly a month, and in the face of the unknown danger that will soon come, he also came to the streets to inquire about car rentals. But he and his family, who have fled seven times in the past six months, have almost run out of their savings. Karim doesn't know where to flee with his family this time.
