USA: Washington's New Graffiti-Busting Drone Takes Flight

Washington's transportation agency is taking to the skies with cutting-edge drone technology. Led by Mike Gauger and his Tacoma area maintenance crew, the initiative aims to tackle graffiti in hard-to-reach areas using specially equipped drones.
The innovative drones, fashioned from an Aquiline Endure model, are equipped with spray nozzles and tethered to paint supplies on the ground.
The inception of the graffiti-fighting drone stemmed from a moment of frustration for Mike Gauger, who, after grappling with recurring graffiti incidents, envisioned a more efficient solution. Drawing inspiration from drone applications in bridge inspections, Mike spearheaded efforts to adapt this technology for graffiti removal, recognizing its potential to streamline operations and enhance employee safety.
