The heartwarming scene, captured on video, shows the officer, adorned in the recognizable blue pants and crisp white NYPD shirt, lying on the ground. With determination, he extends his arm under the vehicle, reaching behind the wheel to retrieve the small black-and-white kitten.

Witnessing the rescue unfold, a woman's voice exclaims, "Oh my God," as the officer carefully hands over the tiny ball of fur to an unidentified individual.

The NYPD proudly shared the heroic moment on social media, highlighting the officer's dedication and years of service. "Lt.
