In a neighbourhood, a heartbreaking story was captured as a senior resident was seen strapping her paralyzed son to her body for rehabilitation training.

The video was filmed in Qujing, southwest China on April 28, 2024.

The mother, wearing heavily padded shoes, tied her son's legs to hers and pushed the equipment while walking laboriously along the road.

According to the filmer, the son was paralyzed all over due to cerebral palsy after surgery. Upon discharge, the mother made a rehabilitation device herself and would strap her son to her body every day to perform rehabilitation exercises in the neighborhood to prevent his limbs from necrosis.

The father, being physically weaker and shorter than his wife, couldn't carry his son on his back because the son was too tall. Thus, the mother had to wear platform shoes to barely support her son.
