A crested caracara exchanged one of its feathers for chunks of meat on this homeowner's balcony in Pelotas, Brazil.

Footage shows the filmer recording the bird of prey as it drops a feather on the balcony before the homeowner gives it some food.

They told Newsflare: "This wild hawk usually comes to the window to look for food, this time he left a gift. I slowly approach to pick it up without scaring it away.

"The bird from the falcon family, and is normally not allowed to be approached. The caracara is a free and wild bird, it has never been in captivity nor has it received any training."
