Jasmine, a resident of Houston, Texas, recounted a harrowing experience with an unexpected tornado on Thursday, May 16, 2024. The sudden onset caught them off guard, with windows and doors shaking violently as winds, estimated to be around 80mph or more, swept through.

Debris flew around, and power outages left the building in darkness. Taking shelter in the restroom, they weathered the storm, grateful to emerge unscathed from the frightening ordeal.

It was a Tornado that we weren’t aware of, it happened so fast and we were not prepared for it.My windows and door were shaking and we could see the wind,I believe it was around 80mph or more.We had debris flying around and were stuck inside of our homes because the light flickered off, the whole building was pitch black at a time but we locked ourselves in the restroom and thankfully fine now! Hearing the wind blowing that hard definitely made it a lot more scary to experience!
