Buenos Aires, Argentina - May 22, 2024

With the start of the week, where very cold is expected throughout the country, low temperatures are also expected mainly in the city and province of Buenos Aires, which could reach its peak expected for next weekend where even snowfall is not ruled out in some localities of Buenos Aires.

According to the National Meteorological Service (SMN), Saturday May 25 could be the coldest day of the year, with minimum temperatures of 1 degree. While on Sunday 26th, a heavy frost is expected, which could generate snowfall in some areas of the province.

Faced with this panorama, an agronomist engineer, Eduardo Rollero, predicted that the mountain ranges of the province of Buenos Aires could see snowfall, while moderate to heavy frosts are expected for the rest of the province.

The SMN has warned of the possibility of a very cold winter this year. Although snowfalls in Buenos Aires are rare, the combination of low temperatures and humidity could generate the necessary conditions for this phenomenon to occur in some areas of the province.
