Foreign expats enjoy the colorful nightlife in Hefei, east China's Anhui Province, as they said the city has become more international and foreigner-friendly.

"At the beginning when we came here, there were nearly no international restaurants. And now we are really happy that we have a German food restaurant like the Landgraf. So you can get all kinds of German dishes and you get a very good beer. And now in the last three years, it developed very rapidly, not just the infrastructure, but also more and more international restaurants coming, Spanish, Mexican, German, Italian."

"Hefei is quickly rising through the ranks and is starting to become a city (that is) more and more international. The city provided us big opportunity, for us students and for our parents to develop and to do what we truly want to do.
As the city provided us with restaurants, with the appropriate school programs tailored for German schools, and especially the nightlife, also the restaurant industry improved drastically over the past three years, so I feel like Hefei has done a great job in welcoming us Germans and other international people coming to Hefei."
