A troupe of artists from China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region performed ethnic music and dance in Türkiye's largest city of Istanbul on Sunday.
The event, organized by the Consulate General of China in Istanbul, took place at a prestigious concert hall on the European side of the city.
Wei Xiaodong, consul general of China in Istanbul, addressed the guests and said that China is a multi-ethnic country with 56 ethnic groups "holding together tightly."
"Through continuous exchange and integration of various ethnic groups over thousands of years, the Chinese nation has become a big family," Wei noted, adding that the show presented the unique cultures and joyful lifestyles of Chinese ethnic groups.
