This is the dramatic moment a mugger stole a tourist's Patek Phillipe watch worth 150,000 Euros in German.

Paris Sittisarn was on holiday when the robber grabbed him near the St. Paul's Church in Frankfurt on June 6.

Footage shows the alleged attacker in a white baseball cap wrestling the timepiece, a Patek Philippe Nautilus 5980R, from Paris's wrist before fleeing in broad daylight as shocked locals looked on.

Paris said he called the police who arrived around 10 minutes later. However, the tourist from Bangkok, Thailand, had trouble explaining to them in German what had happened.

He said: 'I thought the police would catch the thief, that they would be able to look at CCTV and find him.

'But they only asked for my email and said that they would contact me by email. They gave me a slip of paper with their phone number in case I wanted to contact them.'

Paris said the alleged robber posed as a tourist and asked for help taking a picture. However, he used the guise to asses the target.

Paris added: 'Someone asked me to take a photo for him but then he touched me, as if he was playing with me.

'When I realised, I told him, 'Stop! Stop' before he suddenly snatched my watch away. I was not able to chase after him as he ran away so quickly.

'I had some cuts and bruises from where I fell down. I was quite shaken and scared by what happened.

'I always thought places in Europe would be safe.'

The car developer has offered a reward of one million Thai Baht, around 25,000 Euros, for anyone who returns the watch.

The Thai Embassy in Bangkok said they would contact police in Frankfurt to pursue the investigation.
