An endangered Baird's tapir enjoyed a stroll around the Milwaukee County Zoo in Wisconsin.

Footage shows the female tapir named Frida taking a dip in a pool in her enclosure, which she shares with a male tapir named Iibu, on May 13.

Zookeepers said five-year-old Frida is a voracious eater and would happily devour the fruits they feed her.

Baird's tapirs are classified as endangered under the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List.

Their population is declining due to their low reproductive rates, as well as habitat destruction to make way for palm oil plantations.
