Hungry wild deer rummages through tents at Thai campsite
A hungry wild deer raided a tourist's campsite and rummaged through tents.
Footage shows the fawn poking its head inside one of the pitched domes at the Lam Takhong camping grounds of Khao Yai National Park in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, on June 15.
One of the visitors tried scaring it away but it refused to leave until it found a plastic bag with bread inside.
The deer tried to steal the food but the man's friend pulled it off the animal's mouth.
One of the tourists said: ‘The deer went to the tent like it was 7-Eleven. My friend advised me not to leave our food inside because deer was too good at searching.'
Deer inhabit forested areas, grasslands, and national parks across different regions of Thailand. Some of the deer native to the country include the large sambar deer, the small red muntjac, also known as the barking deer, and the threatened Eld's deer.
