Occurred on June 23, 2024 / McCook Lake, North Sioux City, South Dakota, USA

Info from Licensor: "June 23, 2024, the city of North Sioux City and the South Dakota governor got together and agreed on directing the water from the big Sioux River overflowing to spill into McCook Lake instead of taking its old natural path and slowly flooding the surrounding area. When they directed this water across Interstate 29, this water was at a high speed and headed straight for the McCook Lake area. The water destroyed hundreds of houses many leaving the foundation and rushing into the water. Redirecting this water flow did not benefit anyone for more than a couple hours and sped up the process of flooding the McCook Lake area."
