This Sky Kept Me Up All Night - Spectacular Noctilucent Clouds (NLCs) Illuminating The Night Sky Last Night,- Drone Footage
Incredible NLCs appeared over the UK last night which is entirely unexpected for solar maximum approaching, these clouds were glowing and casting shadows, took up the entire NW to NE night sky sporting amazing structures and colours. Best display I've seen since 2009!, these are caused by sunlight reflecting off meteoritic material encased in ice crystals. I shot this drone footage from Lough Fea, N. Ireland, its nearly 4am and I seen some sleep.
