Impatient and badly behaved drivers around learner driver struggling at busy roundabout.

I’m a driving instructor and my student had just stalled when emerging at a large and busy roundabout. She was preparing the car to move off and waiting for the next gap in traffic to come. She was panicking (which is why she stalled) and was feeling a lot of pressure from cars behind. Several cars moved to our right and entered the roundabout to turn left from that lane, then more followed and when we moved off, another car was on our right to turn left across us. Even though we moved off together, they still cut us off forcing us to brake heavily to avoid a collision. Perhaps the driver was inexperienced and didn’t have the sense to go around the roundabout and back to his exit to avoid the potential collision. My student was unaware of them until they cut across, many other drivers would have been too.

From the rear camera, you can also see that a blue 4x4 then also tries to cut in front of us, only braking heavily at the last second to go behind us to his exit.

This is a good demonstration of how impatient, rude and downright dangerous drivers can be in their behaviour around learner drivers and how switched on us Instructors need to be to avoid these people crashing into us.
