An-2 plane makes emergency landing in Transbaikalia due to oil spillage
On July 5, 2024, an An-2 plane made an emergency landing and flipped over in the Khiloksky region of Transbaikalia, Russia. The aircraft had taken off from the Buryat village of Sosnovo-Ozerskoye to search for fires and was heading towards the village of Mogzon. On board were six individuals, including three crew members and three foresters. Shortly after takeoff, the plane disappeared from radar and lost communication. According to the pilot, the emergency landing was necessitated by an oil spillage.
