In the first half of this year, the number of tourists visiting Uzbekistan increased by 13.3 percent compared to the same period last year, the state statistics agency said.
From January to June, more than 3.5 million foreign tourists entered Uzbekistan, an increase of 415,600 compared with the corresponding period last year.
Data showed that the majority of tourists came from Kyrgyzstan, with more than one million visitors, followed by Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.
In 2023, a total of 6.6 million foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes.
