Guarulhos, Brazil - July 20, 2024

This Saturday, 7/20 from 1pm to 7pm, Beco do Robin in Parque Santo Antonio was the stage for a vibrant celebration of black culture with music, dance, gastronomy and activities for the whole family, as well as opportunities for peripheral exhibitors: It’s the Blacks in Connection Fair.

It is free and open to all ages, and will offer rich cultural programming and a variety of activities that highlight the heritage and creativity of the black community. Promoted by the State Cultural Action Program (PROAC), it features a narrative “Connecting Stories, Creating AfroFutures”

This year, it was attended by artists and collectives: Nivaldo D'Avilla, Jukks, Planeta Gru, Victor Cali, Leticia Dalma, Natany Kreski, Slam Fundao, Grupo Capoeira ECE-Brasil, James C. Kunta Kinte, Dorival Amaral, Coletivo Black Roses, Santa Kaya Sound and Drums from the Samba School Imperio de Guarulhos

There was also a kids space for children, turban workshops and a fanzine, and visitors will also be able to taste acaraje from Acaraje, tapioca, snacks and vegan moqueca, through Chefs Rufino Mali, Rubenesque Junior and Haymara Soliano. You can also enjoy Cerveja Preta Bela, one of the options for those who want to toast the celebration.
