Protective adult horses were spotted blocking a road for a playful foal in northern China.

The video was filmed in Xilingol League in Inner Mongolia on July 20.

A woman named Ms. Yao encountered a group of horses creating a protective circle around a foal lying in the middle of the road.

Initially concerned that the foal might be injured, Ms. Yao was surprised when the young horse suddenly sprang to its feet and ran off after a short while.

Only then did the adult horses move aside to allow vehicles through.

Ms. Yao humorously remarked that the adult horses were overly indulgent towards the foal.
