On July 22nd, traffic on Interstate 91 southbound encountered delays due to an unusual obstruction: ducks on the highway. Troop H responded to multiple 911 calls reporting ducks near exit 33 around 3:47 PM, leading to initial efforts to clear the roadway. Despite these efforts, the ducks returned, prompting a second response.

During the subsequent incident, a DMV officer arrived first, with Troopers assisting in traffic control to ensure safety. Due to the recurring issue, Hartford animal control was summoned to facilitate the ducks' safe removal from the highway to a secure location.

Body-worn camera footage captured the efforts of responding Troopers as they guided the ducks off the roadway onto the shoulder, mitigating further traffic disruptions.
