On August 3, 2024, a late-night dog walking session in Danyang, Jiangsu, eastern China, took a startling turn. The dog, a Tibetan Mastiff named Ba Wang (King), and his owner were out for a stroll around 10 PM when the unexpected happened.

Using a flashlight due to the low light conditions, the owner suddenly illuminated a large snake on the path ahead. The sight of the snake caused immediate panic, prompting the owner to hurriedly retreat, pulling the dog along.

Ironically, the Tibetan Mastiff, who was about to relieve himself, was caught off guard by the abrupt tug and ended up running away confused. The owner later humorously noted that Ba Wang, typically not a timid dog, was unjustly startled mid-squat by this surprising and forceful interruption.
