The man suddenly woke, spotted the snake, and let out a loud scream before toppling from his chair.
The sound prompted the startled creature to slither back out of the store and leave while the local remained on the floor.
He said: 'It was a natural reaction. I yelled and both of us were startled. I looked back at the surveillance video and was terrified.'
