A shopkeeper in China narrowly escaped injury as a window fell from above, landing safely inches away from him as he quickly moved his legs.

The man was seated in an easy chair outside his store, conversing with his wife in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, on Friday, August 9.

During this moment of relaxation, a sudden noise from above caught their attention. The man instinctively looked up just in time to see an entire ageing window plummeting towards him from an upper floor.

With quick reflexes, he moved aside, narrowly avoiding the descending glass. The window crashed down mere inches from where he had been sitting.

The man's wife, M Huang, noted that the incident left her husband shaken and that it all happened so quickly.
