Saving my friend from crashing, holding his bicycle rear wheel as it's flying in the air

My friends and I were out on a training ride, with some pro gravel cyclists, when we hit a wet, wooden bridge. Normally, I slow down to avoid slipping, but my friend decided to go for it. As he sped across, his front tire started to wedge between the planks, sending him into a slow-motion front flip over the handlebars.

Reacting quickly, I grabbed the wheel as it came over my head, preventing a full flip. He managed to get up without a scratch, thanks to my reflexes. The bike was stuck in the bridge, but after some effort, we got it free and kept on riding.
