USA: Jurupa Valley 33 Acre Brush Fire in River Bottom

On Thursday, August 22, Cal Fire Riverside responded to a brush fire in the area of Beach Street, southwest of Limonite Avenue in Jurupa Valley.

Upon arrival, fire crews noticed a small 100 x 100 spot of vegetation burning in the river bottom. Firefighters were initially making good progress on the fire.

About fifteen minutes later, the winds in the area picked up significantly. At this time the fire grew in size.

The fire is currently 33 acres with aircraft overhead fighting the flames. The fire still continues to burn.

Cal Fire Riverside is the responding agency, with Riverside County Sheriff's Office and Corona Fire Department all assisting with the fire.
