China: A Crab Digs into the Sand As Soon As It’s Released
Quanzhou, China - June 23, 2024
A moon crab (Matuta lunaris) was poured out of a plastic cup by people who hoped to release it. However, instead of heading towards the sea, the crab immediately started digging into the sand upon reaching the beach and burrowed underground.
