Funny moment huge bear attempts to take a nap - in a hammock
A huge bear made a surprise visit to a mountain home and attempted to take a nap - in a hammock.
Courtney Vucekovich, 34, was in her kitchen when she noticed a massive bear in her backyard.
The stubborn bear spent about five minutes trying to balance itself on the hammock but it eventually gave up and wandered off.
Courtney, an entrepreneur from Vail, Colorado, USA, said: "At first, I couldn't believe my eyes. "
"This massive bear was trying to get on the hammock and the next thing I knew, it was flipping over, doing a full-on somersault." "
The property, purchased by her family in August last year, sits at an elevation of 1,900ft (579m) and often attracts local wildlife.
Despite the initial fright, Courtney found the bear's antics more amusing than frightening.
She said: "I've never seen a bear before, not even in a zoo, and watching it struggle with the hammock was just so funny. "
"It almost didn't seem real. I'll never forget it. "
''A bear doing a somersault in my backyard- it's the most Colorado thing that's ever happened to me."
