Germany: Berlin Zoo Reveals That Newborn Giant Panda Twins Are Both Female

A zoo in Germany which celebrated the birth of two baby giant pandas at the end of last month, has revealed that the twins are both female.
The panda cubs were born to their mother, Meng Meng, the Berlin Zoo's 11-year-old female giant panda. According to the zoo, they have also started to develop their characteristic black and white fur.
Sharing the news on Instagram, the zoo wrote: "GIRL POWER: Our two panda cubs are female. The offspring are healthy and are now developing the characteristic colouration of pandas.
The giant panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca), is a bear species endemic to China.
It is listed as 'Vulnerable' on IUCN's Red List of Threatened Species with about 1,850 individuals alive in the wild, and another 300 in captivity.
