United States: San Bernardino Pig and Horses Evacuated From The Line Fire

09/09/2024 12:30 am (GMT-0700) | SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Line Fire has forced mandatory evacuation for all residents and animals in the Forest Falls area. The residents called for the San Bernardino County Animal Control to respond to their house to help their pig at the 36900 block of Sycamore Drive and Kilkare Road in Mentone.
The residents had already been evacuated and had to leave due to the sheriff's mandatory evacuation order. Animal control came in and managed to get the pig into the back of their vehicle with the help of video journalists from KEYNEWS.TV.
The pig was taken to an animal shelter in Hesperian. The horses were rescued by a volunteer organization and were taken to a nearby shelter. There was a total of two horses, including a baby horse.
