This is the adorable moment a seal was spotted floating on a polystyrene foam, relaxing in the sea.

Beachgoers noticed the pup basking in the sun while lying on the Styrofoam raft in Beihai, Guangxi, China, on September 9.

Footage shows the sea creature resting on the platform, seemingly enjoying its day out by the coast alongside humans.

Locals believed the animal was disorientated by the recent Super Typhoon Yagi and had remained near the shore since then, taking the chance to relax on the makeshift boat.

Others observed it swimming around to hunt fish before returning to rest.

Juvenile seals can survive on their own, but they may still face certain challenges as they continue to develop their strength and hunting skills.
