Member of Kuwaiti royal family speaks to press outside Wandsworth Prison following his early release
A man released from Wandsworth Prison under the second tranche of the Early Release Scheme to relieve overcrowding speaks to press about his experiences during his first moments of freedom (October 22).
Sheikh Yaqub Al Sabah who says he is a member of the Kuwaiti Royal Family was released five years into his 10 year sentence (reduced from 14 for a guilty plea) for money laundering £3m.
He talks about the poor environment for inmates inside the prison, including alleged beatings by prison officers.
