This is the heroic moment a helicopter crew saved an injured mountain bike rider in Texas.

The dramatic rescue unfolded on the Chaparral Trail near Salmon Falls when Susan crashed and suffered a fractured pelvis on October 22.

The H-20 helicopter unit was dispatched and found her stranded on an elevated section of the trail, around two miles from the trailhead. They executed a challenging toe-in landing to access the injured rider, as no safe landing spot was available.

Assisted by Theresa Nielson, Keith Covello, and John Klamm, paramedics relocated her to the aircraft.

She was then airlifted to the Salmon Falls Bridge parking lot, where an awaiting ambulance took over.
