We just saw the greatest night of the season, the pressure is reaching the boiling point, and it all started with the showdown between Boston and Milwaukee, where an unlikely hero completely took over.
Pritchard had Doc on his knees praying for a lifeline after he did this..
Payton completely blew the roof off the Garden shooting a blistering 8 for 12 from downtown.
Giannis and Dame however willed the Bucks throughout the entire game and kept it close.
But when winning time came around, the Celtics top dogs let them know that they’re too little to fight in this one.
A dominant 4-0 start for the Celtics and it looked like the Lakers would do the same because…
WIth a start like this, Lakers fans were already booking finals tickets at this point, but we saw the exact same scenario as their previous matchup, with the losing team chipping away at the deficit.
This would set us up for a wild ride all the way to the finish and you know who’s handling things in the clutch.
Lebron saw the game slipping away, and he knew he had to do something…
And down by 3, JJ Redick nearly lost his mind yelling at the referees for what he thought was an obvious foul.
But they got another chance, and JJ drew up a masterpiece.
A lob for Lebron, and with all the attention on him, Reaves curls around the AD screen for a wide open three point look.
Reaves just misses it but the Lakers execute a perfect defensive possession when it matters the most, to allow themselves another chance to save this game.
And another great play for Lebron to get open, but he slips, allowing just enough time for KD to recover and foul, not allowing the three.
So, with no timeouts remaining James did what he had at the end…
An exciting finish to this game, and I rated it an 8.1 on Rate Game- pretty much on point with the others.
But this was nowhere near the absolute madness in Toronto where the Nuggets were down by 8 with 80 seconds to go, staring at a horrific 0-3 start to the season.
But what followed was the most insane minute of basketball so far this season…
Unbelievable, the Nuggets are back in this one, and with this miss, Toronto keeps it a 1 possession game. And at this point Nikola Jokic is going hero mode, trying to save Denver in this game.
This is where you differentiate a champion from a young and inexperienced team, because the Raptors miss another free throw, setting the stage for the complete chaos at the end.
In an astonishing turn of events, the Nuggets complete the comeback and force overtime.
So with all the momentum on Denver’s side, this was almost expected to happen…
8 point lead and pretty much game over I thought. But maaan was I wrong…
All of a sudden the Nuggets are clinging to a slight lead but with a chance to finally ice the game. And this is the culmination of the entire delirium.
What in the world did we just watch?! The wildest game of the season without question, the Nuggets run away from Toronto with the win in an absolute thriller, that I rated a 9.0
And the intensity is just now going to a whole new level as Paolo Banchero showed us what it looks like when an NBA player unlocks god mode.
Paolo dominated each and every opponent that the Pacers had in front, as there was no stopping him.
A mind blowing 50 point performance for Banchero, keeping Orlando in the game and giving them a chance for the win in the finish. But it wouldn’t be easy…
So you know who the Magic give the ball to. Thing is, with all the attention on him, Paolo is trusting his teammates and they deliver.
The Arena explodes, and all they need now is one stop to seal this win.
And who better to put the icing on the cake with his 50th point than Banchero himself, securing the win for Orlando and a career high in front of his home fans.
This was the complete opposite of Darius Garland who completely took over on the road at MSG and broke the hearts of Knicks fans.
Garland almost single handedly decided this game at the end with his 15 points in the 4th quarter, securing the best record in the league for Cleveland at 4-0.
